Size 7 is where the declared size range of every orange in our catalogue ends. All three list it, none is packed in it by default, and nothing of ours goes below. That makes this code the boundary of what we can be asked for, and it arrives as a request rather than as a line already running on a packing list.

What it changes on an order
You need small fruit in volume
Asking at the boundary of a range and asking inside it are different requests, and they get different answers on lead time. Put the volume and the week in your first message and the reply comes back as a yes or a no.
You are qualifying a new supplier
A supplier who publishes where the range stops is easier to plan against than one who republishes every code in the standard. The boundary is the useful number, and it is the one most catalogues leave out.
You are matching a competitor's offer
An offer at a code below this one comes from a different grower or a different growing area. Worth knowing before you use it as a benchmark for ours.
What this note does not settle
- Listing a code inside a range is a statement about what the trees produce. It is not a commitment to fill a pallet with it.
- Below this code our catalogue is silent. This page explains the scale and does not extend what we offer.
- Prices at the edge of a range behave differently from prices in the middle of one, and nothing here fixes either.
Where a catalogue tells the truth
Most suppliers publish the whole scale, because the scale is free to publish. Ours stops here, and the stopping point carries the only information a size list holds. Above it sits a promise with trees behind it. Below it would sit a promise with nothing behind it at all.
Being the boundary makes this code behave unlike the ones inside the range. It is graded out rather than packed to, so quantity rides on how a particular pick fell and lead time rides on whether a line is already running. None of that makes it impossible. It makes it a conversation.
What to send us if you want it
Three things make the answer fast: the weeks, the volume, and what you do if the answer is no. With those in hand we know whether to look at the pick at all, and you get a reply the same day instead of a holding message.
Should a competitor have offered you something smaller, that offer comes from a different grower or a different growing area, and it is no benchmark for what our trees do. Tell us anyway. Knowing what you have been offered shapes the answer more than a specification does.
